So, I've heard a lot of people complain about how boring the drive is along the valley. Personally, I liked it. I think I had an extra thing going for me since I had already passed through so many different terrain types already along the trip. Montana was distinctively different with sharp rocky mountains. The "mountains" along the valley were not sharp at all and filled with trees a lot different from the evergreens we're used to in Seattle.
But the most interesting part of the trip for me were all the hawks you could see along the highway flying around. They looked huge even from our vantage point. Just amazing to see them...
